We are called and created to become something far beyond our own strength, yet Scripture assures us that we are not left alone, for God is at work within us through the Holy Spirit, sanctifying us to become more like Christ. To be sanctified is not simply to follow rules, but to have our hearts transformed so deeply that living and loving like Jesus becomes our deepest desire. Unfortunately, we often settle for far less than the fullness of life God intends, remaining weighed down by sin rather than soaring in the fruit of the Spirit. Yet through Jesus’ cross and resurrection, and through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, we are invited into newness of life.
